Your dream isn’t going to fall into your lap. Your dream coming true is going to be the result of hard work, dedication, character, prayer, and belief in yourself. Your dream is yours for the taking. Some days are going to be frustrating and you’re going to want to give up. DON’T YOU DARE!!! Don’t even entertain the idea. Be strong and make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons. Put your heart into it and know that your time will come.

So I say to you, my friends, that even though we must face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I Have A Dream speech

Follow your dreams!

Follow your dreams!

You know why most people don’t chase their dreams? Because its hard. It means you have to step out of your comfort zone. It means uncertainty and frustration. It means feeling, at times, that you might not make it. I’ve felt all those things and more, in the last 24 hours. Good thing I don’t give up that easily.

Remember when you were young and it was okay to dream the impossible? Well, I still think it’s okay as you get older. In fact, I think it’s necessary. DREAM BIG!!!

Who quits a perfectly good job during a recession? That’s what most people ask when I tell them I quit teaching at a great school with great kids. My answer: ME! I used to dream of the day when I would have my own classroom full of kids that I would try to inspire each and every day. Then I started to dream of having my own talk show where I would have the opportunity to inspire millions and spread love. That’s why I left. I didn’t want to just stay somewhere because it was comfortable. I wanted to be able to say I truly followed my heart and went after my dream.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
